There are 2 bolt patterns for this head-mounted milling machine chip guards to choose from - refer to the gallery image for measuring.

MG-2 - Standard Model, no interlock. 2.5" square bolt pattern (Fits Bridgeport and most import copies such as JET, Sharp). $690.00

MG-2T - Standard Model, no interlock. 3.0 x 3.5" bolt pattern (Fits some TRAK and other machines, not common)  $690.00

Safety Switch Option 1  Add " -SK1 " to the end of part number (ie. MG-2-SK1)    - Interlocked Model. Magnetically Actuated Safety Interlock Switch. Dual Voltage 120VAC / 24VDC.  $875.00

Safety Switch Option 2  Add " -SK2 " to the end of part number (ie. MG-2-SK2)    - Interlocked Model. 24V DC Power Supply Required, RFID Style Safety Interlock Switch $875.00

   

Features

  • 2 Bolt patterns for barrier guards: Select when ordering. The 2.5" square bolt pattern (MG-2) chip guard fits the Bridgeport brand and 95% of other milling machines.
  • The mounting plates are slotted outwards to accommodate slight differences in machine bolt pattern. The 2.5" square pattern can work with up to 2.75" or 70mm square.
  • Part # MG-2T is a 3.0 x 3.5" bolt pattern. It will fit TRAK DPM3 milling machines and some other brands.  See the mounting plate photo for more info.
  • Available with or without a safety interlock switch. Select when ordering. Safety switches are rated to only 2 amps and require some form of motor control to adapt to your 3-phase machine.  Safety interlock retrofit can be purchased and easily added to existing guards later on.
  • This head-mounted milling machine chip guard protects operators from flying chips, coolant, and accidental contact with the rotating cutter/spindle. Polycarbonate shield (Lexan) 1/4" thick
  • Front arm swings open to the left 180 degrees for easy setup and work access 
  • No drilling required to install! Bolts around the quill feed selector with longer bolts we supply. Chip guard works on Bridgeport, Sharp, Jet, Trak, Prototrak DPM, HH Roberts, Clausing, Lagun, Webb, Supermax, Alliant, and many other manual vertical milling machines.
  • Articulating arms allow operator to easily position the shield to fit different workpieces or fixtures
  • Heavy-duty steel adjustable handles- pull out and orient 360 degrees
  • Head-mounted milling machine guard will not work if tilting the machine's head left and right (only front/back)
  • Includes curved lexan shield 
  • Standard Shield: 9" tall. Taller shields are available. Go to the replacement shield page to order 12" tall RMS-1
  • All CNC billet aluminum construction, Powder coated "OSHA Safety Orange"
  • Contact us for special mount for Series II Bridgeports with power downfeed and other custom mounting plates for non-standard knee mills.
